From smart watches and fitness trackers to smart textiles, from Google Glasses to Apple Vision Pro, wearable technology is developing rapidly and is gaining popularity in the fields of healthcare, fitness and wellbeing, manufacturing, entertainment, etc. In this talk, we will present several wearable devices and applications developed by Aalto University Wearable Systems Lab, including wearable cognitive assistance for assembly and maintenance assistance, virtual stroke rehabilitation, and wearable thermal haptic devices.
关于讲者
Yu Xiao is an Associate Professor at Department of Information and Communications Engineering, Aalto University, Finland. She received her doctoral degree in computer science from Aalto University in 2012. Her current research interests include edge computing, wearable sensing, and extended reality. Her research often takes the approach of building potentially large-scale prototype systems and then evaluating them experimentally.
